Metro Wash Terms and Conditions
By booking and utilizing Metro Wash Laundry Service, you (the "Customer") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change without prior notice, and the most current version will always be available on our website.
- Service Scope:
* Metro Wash provides professional wash, dry, and fold laundry services for everyday clothing items.
* We do not currently offer dry cleaning, hand-washing, ironing, alterations, or specialized stain removal unless explicitly stated as an add-on service on our page or any of our online presence.
* Customers are responsible for separating any "dry clean only," "hand wash only," or other special care items from their wash and fold laundry. Metro Wash is not responsible for damage to items not suitable for standard machine washing and drying.
* We reserve the right to refuse to clean any item that we deem Bio-hazardous, Contaminated Laundry (OPIM) is not limited to, 1)HUMAN BODY FLUIDS
2)SALIVA FROM DENTAL PROCEDURES
3)VISIBLY BLOOD-CONTAMINATED BODY FLUIDS
4)HUMAN SKIN AND CULTURES
5)ANIMAL FLUIDS OR WASTE, BLOOD, AND OR BACTERIAL CONTACT WITH PET LAUNDRY,
or that may pose a risk to our equipment or staff.
- Pickup and Delivery:
* Scheduled Windows: Metro Wash operates with precise pickup windows and next-day delivery. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that laundry is available for pickup and that someone is present to receive delivery within these scheduled times.
* Missed Appointments: If the Customer is unavailable or laundry is not ready at the scheduled pickup time, a rescheduling fee or cancellation fee may apply. For missed deliveries, re-delivery will be scheduled at the earliest convenience, and a re-delivery fee may apply.
* Unattended Laundry: If the Customer requests laundry to be left unattended for pickup or delivery on a porch, table, or with a concierge, Metro Wash Laundry Service is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the laundry once it has been left or before it has been retrieved. This is done at the Customer's sole risk.
- Customer Responsibilities:
* Pocket Check: Customers are solely responsible for checking all pockets for items such as medications, pens, makeup, lipstick, money, jewelry, keys, sharp objects, or other personal belongings before placing laundry for pickup. Metro Wash Laundry Service is not responsible for any items lost or damaged due to being left in garments during the laundry process.
* Damaging Items: Customers agree not to include any items that could damage other garments or Metro Wash laundry Service equipment (e.g., excessive pet hair, items contaminated with hazardous substances, items with bedbugs, excessive moisture/mildew).
* Laundry Bag: Laundry must be placed in a secure bag(s) and weighed on a home scale. Metro Wash Laundry Service is not responsible for items outside of the designated bags.
* Communication: Customers must provide accurate contact information, phone number, address, and an email to facilitate online bookings, and communication regarding their orders with our wash pros.
- Damage and Loss Policy:
* Normal Wear and Tear: While we exercise utmost care, all laundering processes involve some risk of normal wear and tear, including but not limited to loss of buttons, fading, pilling, minor holes, or abrasions. Metro Wash is not responsible for such occurrences.
* Pre-Existing Conditions: Metro Wash is not liable for damage to garments with pre-existing conditions, weaknesses, or defects that may become apparent during the cleaning process (e.g., tears, holes, color bleeding). We do not guarantee stain removal. Seek a dry cleaning Professional.
* Color Bleeding/Shrinkage: We do not guarantee against color loss, color bleeding, or shrinkage. We wash your items according to temperature and fabric material specifications unless specific instructions are provided and agreed upon in advance (which may incur additional fees).
* Claim Procedure: In the rare event of a lost or damaged item directly attributable to Metro Wash's gross negligence, liability is limited to a maximum of 3x times the charge for cleaning that specific item, not to exceed $75.00 per order. This limit applies regardless of the garment's brand or original value.
* Reporting Claims: Any claims for lost or damaged items must be reported to Metro Wash’s customer service by email within 24 hours of delivery. Claims must include clear photos of damaged items and original proof of purchase if applicable. Failure to report within this timeframe may result in the denial of the claim.
* Inventory: Due to the volume of laundry processed, Metro Wash Pros does not inventory individual items. Our count is considered by weight accurate unless a detailed list of items accompanied the laundry bag and was confirmed by Metro Wash upon pickup.
- Pricing and Payment:
* Service pricing is as listed on our website or quoted at the time of booking.
* Payment is processed securely via PayPal Business upon completion of your pre-paid services,
* Unpaid balances may result in small claims and suspended future services.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
* Customers may cancel or reschedule a pickup free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled pickup window.
* Cancellations or reschedules made less than 2 hours before the scheduled pickup window may incur a $10 cancellation/rescheduling fee.
- Personal Data and Privacy:
* Metro Wash collects and uses personal data (name, address, contact info) solely to provide and improve our laundry services.
* We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
* Payment information is processed securely by PayPal Business; Metro Wash does not store sensitive payment details.
- Governing Law:
* These terms and conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
- Force Majeure:
* Metro Wash Pros shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond Metro Wash Pros reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, public health emergencies, natural disasters, street violence, looting, war, strikes, or transportation disruptions.
Acceptance:
By proceeding with your Metro Wash booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
